ABSTRACT

History learning is very important in efforts to improve the memory and understanding of each student about the importance of history and how past event can affect events that occur at this time, especially regarding events that occurred in November 10 th 1945. Event in November 10 th 1945 itself is an event that tells the struggle of young people in Surabaya in defending the city of Surabaya from allied attacks and efforts to maintain the independence of the Indonesian people themselves.
Based on previous research, it shows that there are problems in learning history among students. Students see the subject of history as difficult and boring subject because they are required to memorize a historical fact rather than understand it. Interactive multimedia can increase student enthusiasm and make the teaching and learning process more interesting and make history more 'alive'. Game platformer is one of the digital technologies that can drive the learning process effectively and attractively, especially among young students. Because of that, a two-dimensional (2D) platformer game was designed about the November 10 th 945 historical event.
In a trial that has been carried out using a questionnaire it obtained a two-dimensional (2D) platformer game regarding historical events in November 10 th 1945 can support the history learning process with a percentage rate 82,9% of the 10 respondents who tested it.
